I can see why they are doing it. It will stop a lot of trolling and spamming for sure. However as much as I don't really mind them doing that because the WoW forums are a joke because of the trolling and spamming and I don't read them anyways, maybe I will once they change it to that, but I can see where people do not like that change. Even the people that don't troll. Having your First and Last name on every post will be somewhat odd, but hey if it's what they have to do then they have to do it to clean up one of the most horrific gaming forums I have ever seen! Mostly because of it's massive population.

Basically I don't care that they are doing it. If people hate it then they were either a forum troll or one of those really political down with the big brother government type people. Half the people on the internet flaunt their facebooks and shit around as it is anyways and link it on every profile they make on the internet. So either you post or you don't post. Suck my ass is basically what blizzard is saying and i support this ass sucking.

they have got to do something about Trade chat. it was never this severe in TBC. It's crazy now. i think because they took out LFG chat and turned it into a battlegroup thing, people are forced to go to trade chat.

this random dungeon thing is great but i really miss the instant Queues and the old LFG interface.

lfg channel should be cross BG also.

No. This is really idiotic. They could have done something like making all your character names visible, so that way people know your in game name and know who you are. But using your REAL name is pretty outrageous for Blizzard to do. For a very privacy oriented company who goes as far as not saying what the consequences are for a person that you report to a GM... this is pretty out there. This is almost as annoying as being able to right click on someones Real ID in your friends list and seeing everyone on their list.

Yah i think a better alternative could be to have the ability to see their entire character list and who they are. I really don't care what they do with it since the blizzard forums have been a joke anyways since the game became so big, but I honestly just don't see them changing their mind on it unless some sort of FTC thing happens with privacy or whatever. Going to come down either you post or you don't post. Like it or leave it. That's how i see it playing out.

Yeah it was saved on gameriot. I also read an interesting discussion about what if someone just called people you knew and told them you were a pedofile. It is easy to cause a great deal of damage to someone just with a few pieces of information you can find on the Internet. I think this is a bad change and I hope that blizzard realizes this.
