TG raids 5 days a week when the content demands it, 6:30-11:30 EST Sunday to Thursday. Would you be able to maintain an 80% attendance rate?: Can make every day (did 7days a week when ulduar was first launched) There is absolutly no issue with the time what so ever.
Do you know anyone in TG who would vouch for your skill as a player? If so, who?: No sorry
What is you previous guild history and explain any reasons why you left them. (long answer):
Starting BC (played pre BC but thats going to far back) Raided in a guild called Ascendancy (where my career took off). Blew through all of content within 3 months just before sunwell came out and then started to clear sunwell. We ended up having to move and lost the internet for 2 weeks and when we came back our spot was gone and alot of drama occured (main officers left due to stubborn GM). The guild then merged with another 25man guild and caused it to implode. I then transfered to Draka where i continued to raid with a friend as an officer to help a guild progress through BT. After a couple of weeks i was just exhausted and ended up leaving the game again (i realize this looks bad, but since then i never have taken a break and have a near 100% attendance). I came back to WoW just before WotLK where i cleared all content and started doing HM in 25 Ulduar. The reason why im considering leaving my current guild (malevolent) altho its the top guild on our server the raids are to inconsistent where 1 week we'll 1-2 shot Thorim HM and the next week wipe on it a whole day then clear it normal mode. I'm tired of doing NM because well, they are far to easy and i enjoy a challenge in the game. I wish to be able to see all the hard work i've put into the game actually mean something and get stuff done.
Have you ever been a raid leader, class leader, officer, or website administrator with another guild? (long answer):
As stated above i was once an officer for a friends guild to help them progress through BT, i knew the strats to every boss fight and the tips and tricks for every trash pull. I handled the guild recruitment, the guild bank, all the raider QQ and ran all the raids. I kinda got burnt out really fast from it since i pretty much ran the guild by myself. As for a class leader, I've always been the top hunter in every guild I've been in, and that doesn't mean i neglect my duties. If required (generally done by MM hunters), i keep my Mark up, do md's as necessary and avoid all -ALL- avoidable damage.
Why do you want to join TG over another guild on this server? (long answer):
I was reading through the recruitment forums for a guild that seems to have their act together. To even have heroic firefighter is a great accomplishment that few guilds in the world can say they have. I want to be able to experience all the hard content this game has to offer cause i really feel that i have yet to be challenged in the game. I feel i have the ability/skill/gear and everything else required to not only maintain my roll at keeping the HM down, but to also progress you guys through your first algalon kill.
Please describe in detail your previous raid experience, pre-BC, BC, and current content. Include information if you participated in pre-nerf kills, legitimate attunements (such as Hand of A’dal), etc. (long answer):
pre-BC - Everything except Neff BWL and only did razuvious in naxx (grenaa only)
Spent the time to get attuned to Naxx and farm NR at the same time for Huhu
BC - Everything except twins and further in sunwell (all pre nerf) (grenaa only)
WoTLK - all pre Ulduar content including heroic 6min maly (nearly had immortal, 1 death on saphiron cause of a DC) and including 3 drake Sarth (even got the mount) GotUR for 10man (working on algalon) and 5 hardmodes 25man ulduar (FL, XT, IC, Hodir, Thorim) also spent plenty of time on Mimi HM, Freya +2, Vezax HM and done Yogg -1 (altho thats a joke now).
(grenaa and scroogedu)
Explain in detail the way you DPS/Heal/Tank, rotations, gear selection, gemming, etc. Convince us that you have thorough and extensive knowledge of your class. Links to WWS or similar performance recording tools are helpful. (long answer):
Grenaa- i STRONGLY believe in surviving before dps'ing, to be a good player you need to be able to avoid everything thats around you, its avoidable damage for a reason, to make things easier on your healers. To be a great player however is being able to survive everything while maintaining your dps (good thing about a hunter is we still have relativly high mobile dps). Since is till havent acquired the amount of ArP for a MM spec, I'm still currently Survival where i look to gem for Agility after I'm hit capped. I keep a few different peices of loot with me with either hit or other stats to be able to maintain hit cap (or very slightly under, however with patch, being hit capped is beneficial since it makes your pet expertise capped).
Scroogedu - Spell power/spirit/haste/crit In ulduar Haste is incredibly important, even for a druid, with his tier bonus it allows him to get his rejuv's off alot faster (less of a GCD) which allows him to heal even more since it has the instant heal at the start. Really the only thing about scroogedu is hes a robot, when hes turned on, all he does is heal and heal like a madman. He will do everything within reason to ensure that no one dies (unless there are instant gibs, generally from not avoiding avoidable damage).
WWS for scroogedu and I
http://wowwebstats.com/w2ml4lkziqq45 (take note, im not top on certain fights compared to other hunters since MM performs better).
Both hunters (grannyfist and xyphan) are also very talented hunters and to be able to compete as top hunter (with lesser gear then them) has always been a fun challenge.
Also on wowmeteronline.com (can't get the current link but if any of your guildies know this site they can sort it for hunters)
I have a couple of places in top 20 US/World hunter dps. I would have had a US 4th norm Vezax and a World 2nd IC norm but my GM forgot to record both of those fights.
Im not trying to look like a DPS guru, i emphasize surviving first, but its being able to survive that allows me to do the DPS i do, the DPS you do doesn;t matter if your dead. Also Scroogedu has a World 1st druid healing for Hodir HM.
Describe your gaming system. Your computer needs to be good enough to not cause problems raiding. Frame lag, ping, connection problems, not using a microphone + Ventrilo or crashing is not acceptable. (long answer):
Grenaas computer - Quad Core, 4 Gigs Ram, 8800 GTS OC2 vid card, 10000 rpm 80gig HD, 750 Watt Power supply, liquid cooling. Custom built computer able to handle everything Blizzard has to toss.
Scroogedu computer - Quad Core, 4 Gigs Ram, Good enough video card (can't remember off the top of my head), good size HD. Raids at 30fps on all full settings with maximum spells going off.
Why are you worth being one of the 25 people in a raid? Please list anything else you'd like to mention about yourself that we might have missed. (long answer):
We can do our job and we can do our job very well. I've always taken pride in being able to survive quite literally through everything (i still get hit, seldomly however, since im not perfect). Both of us have the nicknames of ROBOTS in our guild because we quite literally are. Ive been playing hunter since the very launch of WoW and i love playing it. Im a skilled player (well, we both are) and i learn very fast. Being able to play a hunter and then switch over to my holy paly alt thats barely in epics and pull 5600hps on 10man freya +3 (even beating a resto druid since i had to do raid healing aswell). What im trying to say really is that i can learn what i need to learn and do exactly what i need to do. For my guild i have always been the person that has done all the special tasks. I call quite literally everything out in vent that was needed to call out. FL im always in a demolisher maintaining a 10stack of pyrite, taking care of life sparks on XT, Aspect of the wild on IC, Avoiding beams on Kolo, MD pulling Auriya (god i hate her). Making sure the singed debuff stays up at all times on hodir (lowers personal dps but raises raid dps). Positioned in the highest Channel spot of Thorim while still not getting hit by a single one. Tree's, Roots, Calls on vents, Bombs and everything other possible thing for Freya, Kiting Flames + tanking the head (los'ing it aswell) for mimiron. Being the mark for the stacked pile on vezax and taking care of everything on yogg. I do everythign thats asked of me and i do it to the best of my ability.
For scroogedu, he just heals his ass off and makes sure no one dies, including himself. Also he has 5 fragments (the 2nd mace for our guild, first was given to a holy paly that's not quite as talented)
Can you handle criticism?: How can we contact you?: If its constructive criticism then yes, however if its meant to be-little a person then i don't appreciate it what so ever. Scroogedu and I are both incredibly skilled players in a guild that's not at the level we wish to be. Feel free to contact me on Smoldethorn (or through this topic) on my hunter or my holy pally Overkilled. Im always online at raid times 8pm-midnight sunday-wednesday.
EDIT* Reading through some of the other apps (sorry if its prying). Ive updated my UI (a while back) and got grid, with grid i track any debuff that is worth tracking (expecially things like Strengthened iron roots) to be able to see wether or not all of them are taken care of. With the amount of clutter there is in a fight like that, being able to see that debuff is incredibly useful. There are also alot more useful things to track on grid, but mentioning them all is a waste. It's also incredibly useful to see wether or not im in range of the healers and to see just how many people are dead.
